Murie Center Internships
Homesteaded in 1920, and originally operated as a dude ranch, the Murie Ranch was later the home of Olaus, Mardy, Adolph and Louise Murie. Now the property of Grand Teton National Park and a National Historic Landmark; the ranch is nestled between the Snake River and the Teton Mountain Range. This spectacular location allows for solitude in a wild setting. The sixteen historic cabins have been recently restored and provide housing for up to 28 residential guests, 2 residential interns, an on-site caretaker, and office space for the Murie Center’s permanent staff. Interns receive a stipend of $500/month, as well as a place to live during the internship. Housing is provided in one of the historic cabins on the Murie Ranch. All intern cabins are winterized and have electricity and plumbing. Living is relatively communal. Interns will have a private room and shared bath and kitchen facilities. The ranch is not currently serving daily meals; interns should plan on purchasing and cooking their own meals.
