Tour the Murie Ranch
While visiting Grand Teton National Park, don’t miss the Murie Ranch, a National Historic Landmark and home to Muries from 1945-2003. Today it is home to The Murie Center of Teton Science Schools.
During summer months, we have a docent that hosts daily tours Monday – Friday at 2:30pm in the Muries’ home where he tells stories about the Muries’ life and work and updates the public on current programs happening at The Murie Center.
In the winter months all of our buildings are winterized and closed to public. However, please feel free to visit the Murie Ranch and enjoy the historic trails around the cabins, to the river, and through the woods. We have self-guided tours available on the Muries’ Front Porch to provide visitors with additional historical information while walking around.
